Are there current plans to release this excellent movie on DVD?

I don't know when, but I sure HOPE they release this movie on DVD.

I love this movie! Yes, for Robert Taylor...
but also because it's filmed on location and I just love to look at the scenery...

Love the story, the actors, (I DID notice that there ARE others besides Robert Taylor ;) ),
just how beautiful CAN one woman be? (Eleanor is amazingly beautiful).

But, EGYPT! and it's antiquities!

WOW :)

I think I'm in heaven...

Someone let me know if and when they release this...
I'd watch it every rainy day...

I am still waiting. They keep bringing up trash and no good movies. I would also like to see "Soldier of Fortune" on DVD.

joe-691...you're in luck. I saw you asked when they would bring Soldier of Fortune out on DVD...well, the good news is it's out. I just purchased it, along with two other great Gable classics (Call of the Wild and The Tall Men) as part of the Gable Collection. I got it used on Amazon for around $16.00...not bad for three classics. Hope you get it. Best, Lepanto

The official DVD release is coming on April 19 from Warner Archive

pjtrimboli: It just came out on DVD...don't know if this is the first time, however. It's MOD on Warner Archive/Warner Store. Wish WB had remastered -- especially, the Eastman color. Still, lots of magnificent scenery. That fight atop King Rameses at Abu Simbel is a whopper -- and five years before Hitchcock's fight atop Mount Rushmore in North by Northwest.
