Great film, wish a remastered blu ray would be released

This a fun and adventure filled film. I greatly enjoyed it, and Robert Taylor in particular was a proto-Indiana Jones type. The ending sequence in particular was very intriguing and well done. The tomb looked great.

The only problem I have is the Warner Archive DVD transfer isn't the best it could be. It appears the aspect ratio is incorrect. I believe the film was originally widescreen, but it appears like it was zoomed in (not the correct terminology I know). The sandstorm sequence in particular is problematic.

I can only hope that a proper remastered blu ray release comes out soon, because I'm sure the colors would pop and 1950's Egypt can be seen in all its glory.

Indeed - the Warner Archive DVD transfer leaves something to be desired. The framing was so poor that for some reason the left side of the image was cut off (check out the compromised compositions throughout - with actors cut off on the left in medium shots. Where you can see how bad it is is in a single POV shoot through a pair of binoculars where the left side is cut off and so the image is off center.)
