i heard this was done in school back in the day as a tie-in.

Very clever.

My 9th grade English class still reads THE ODYSSEY, and I show this film as an adaptation of the story. In fact, my class is starting THE ODYSSEY this week.

And even though this is, in their description, and "old" movie, and even though it was filmed in Italian with the English dubbed in, my students seem to like it.

Yes...goodness it was a long time ago but I also remember. I still remembered Ulysses grabbing a handful of cheese from the basket inside of Polyphemus' cave and saying something like "grand". I remembered thinking how rich and creamy the cheese seemed and how appealing it woul dbe to a group of starving soldiers.

And yet, I also seemed to remembered the same women plays his wife PEnelope and Circle but that could just be a hazy memory. But yeah... brings back some old times close to 25 years ago.
