Any connection to Twilight Zone or Night Gallery?

When I saw this the first time the question which immediately came up was whether this collection of three unrelated horror stories had any connection at all to either Night Gallery or Twilight Zone.

The very first Night Gallery episode looks as though inspired by the first story in this wonderful film.
