Why are the DVD's of this movie only available 2nd hand ? Anybody know ?
And how come the 2nd hand DVD's are all priced between $200(US) and $330(US) ?
I love the movie, from what I remember of it seeing it last about 20 years ago, but 200 US is a bit steep by my book for a 2nd hand DVD, even an origional.

paul,if your dvd player is capable of playing all region dvd's you might wish to check some of the foreign web sites for this film. the steep price they are asking for this film,not to mention the condition of the print that the film was copy from,is steep,but,unfortunately it is a question of supply and demand. the suppy has dried up and the demand is out their. my copy,i have put it into my safe deposit box. i have a dvd recorder so i made a dvd-r copy for my general use. not to long ago,someone in the uk paid around 2 hundred pounds,sterling,for a used dvd of this island earth. that is over 300 us dollars. rumours are around that universal may release this dvd under their own lable in around 2 or 3 years.
