Why didn't the ants eat the kids?

The two boys down in the storm drain, the ants attacked everyone else they came in contact with, why not the kids?

reply

Apparently, the kids managed to stay back in a space the ants couldn't get into.

I'm guessing it was some kind of "CODE" law that said "kids can't be eaten by ants".

Also ghosts aren't real.

I periodically misspell words just to annoy the word police.

Maybe so...the little girl was spared too.

reply

But her brother was taken...the family in the trailer had two children, only the girl survived..I am guessing the boys managed to stay out of the ants reach...

reply

The ants were trying to reach them when Ben came upon the scene.

Low calorie diet?

reply

Maybe they were full.

They were waiting for an opportunity to hold a giant magnifying glass over them so the sun would burn them.

reply

I seem to remember the ants were blocked by rebar that partially blocked the hole the two boys had gone through.
