I haven't seen this movie in years, but I just ordered the DVD-R from Amazon and I'm really excited.
One of my favorite quotes, when watching this as a kid, was when she was smoking a cigarette, decided she didn't like it and spent several minutes (it seemed that long) putting it out in the ash tray. When she's finished, Virgil says, "Are you sure it's dead?"
Just a few mintues ago I wrote a letter to my mother about seeing this terrific old movie and I included the quote: Are you sure it's dead? That cracked me up. I thought Alvy Moore would go on to outshine David Wayne's career as the best friend. But noooo. Green Acres.
