La Strada is finally in the IMDB Top 250 list and it is an excellent film. Clocked in at #247 and hopefully it be way much higher on the list. A most deserving film to be on the list. What do others think about it being in the top 250?

It should be way higher than 250 - it's a masterpiece of acting, storytelling, and filmmaking in general. You can't go by the IMDB list - it's not a narrow enough perception of what is really good. Unfortunately AFI is the closest we have to bona fide list of the greatest films, and even their list is off here and there.

It seems to me the definite and most serious all-time-list, and here, unlike the AFI-list, the films are not limited to be in English.
"La strada" is, by the way, at number 59.
It is satisfactory but the movie deserves a higher rank. "La Strada" should be way up there!

La Strada is second only to 8 1/2 in terms of Fellini (IMHO). A stronger film then either La Dolce Vita or Amarcord, it really does deserve a place. Also its very accessible, many of Fellini's films aren't for everyone, but La Strada is a very easy film to fall in love with.

Count me in with a vote of 10, too! Although simpler and more accessible than later Fellini, this is an extremely emotional and powerful film and I love it. I also adore Nights of Cabiria...Giulietta Masina is even better in that!

shareWell, the IMDB top 250 list may not be the most pretentious film list ever but it is actually a fine top films list. Yes, it has some off movies, like those superhero flicks, but that's because a person's subjective tastes do not fit perfectly with the average of all other persons. That's because people are different.
