Alternate Title?

I just watched this for the first time and noticed that when the title of the film came up it appeared to be an after-the-fact insertion; an alteration.

All of the other credits played as tranparencies against a street scene but the Sleeping Tiger title card was a jarring insert, as though it were prepared after the fact to replace the original title.

IMDb doesn't list any original or alternate titles for the film, so I'm a bit puzzled...
