The illustration is nothing to do with "The Siege of Red River": it is clearly for "The Gatling Gun" from 1973.
As for the trivia article re: Jean Peters...she tested for a role in this B-western around the time of "Three Coins in the Fountain" and "Broken Lance"? I don't think so.
