'FRANKINCENSE'

When Milly meets the brothers, she inquires about Frank's name, since it isn't in the Bible.
One of the others jokes that his full name is "Frankincence", leading to a fist fight.

Well, isn't there a person named "Felix" in the New Testament?
I believe he was a Roman centurion.
Why couldn't that Pontipee brother be named that?

I think the trivia section mentions they must have been going on names from the Old Testament, since there were supposedly no 'F' names there. But who knows.

They were all pretty Old Testament back then. Even if the name had been in the Old Testament, not many pious Christian families would have wanted to choose a name that belonged to a Roman.

The Biblical Felix was also cruel, brutal and of poor morals. I find it easier to believe that if the parents found the name, they chose to tell their other children simply that there weren't any 'F' names in the Bible, rather than explain why they disregarded 'Felix'. The boys weren't the most educated bunch and they didn't attend church, so they were unlikely to ever come across the name themselves. Adam would only have been around 9 or 10 when Frank was born and named.

Yes, I know. I like it that way. Makes me look the way I feel.

There is a Felix and there's also a Festus. Both from the book of Acts.

As has been said on these boards before. They are both Romans and therefore would most likely not be considered.
