one major scene missing

So Livia gives the patriots' money to her lover… and then? When her cousin arrives to get the money, what does she tell him? How does she manage? What lie does she tell? We never know! (at least in the version I viewed) Was this pivotal scene cut out? Or is it a major hole in the script?

I do think it's a plot hole indeed, but it can be somewhat resolved. The cousin Luca says that there must be more than 3 000 florins in the box, but then Franz says that he needs 2 000 florins to bribe the doctor. That leaves 1 000 florins to give to the cause, and they can't suspect her, so that's why next time we see Luca he doesn't seem to be angry. Of course, money is never counted, and greedy Franz might have taken it all, but if we want to give the director a hand, it's not completely impossible.
