Good article. But when I saw "Glen Cove" I immediately thought of "North By Northwest" and Cary Grant's Roger Thornhill being booked at the Glen Cove Police Station for drunk driving.

True enough, Wakanohana, but Glen Cove is also where Grant as "Knight in Shining Armor" ("silver" suit) undergoes a test of his mettle, defies death, and picks up the trail of his adversary, all in true knightly fashion !

I lived on Long Island and for me although an upper class area it's not the image I would have went for.
Oyster Bay, Gatsby like it is more like it. Even Southampton could have pulled the upper crust imagery off.
But that is from one Long Islanders opinion.
