Lovely film

I really enjoyed this. Frankie Howerd is great. I believe it may be making it's way to DVD soon which would be wonderful.

I have seen on one website that the DVD is appalling in every way. Apparently - I have not seen it myself - the picture quality is the worst ever seen on a DVD. I hope this is incorrect as The Runaway Bus is an early Belinda Lee movie, and her films are difficult to find.

That's what I heard. It is shaky, the balance of contrast is terrible and the sound is appalling. With technology being what it is, there is absolutely no excuse for a substandard DVD. It's a shame because it has a top-notch cast and - as far as I remember from the T.V. - it is a very lovely little gem of classic English comedy of the 1950s.

Belinda Lee was really funny in the film. Her absorption in her thriller books is the funniest I've seen of her.

It certainly is interesting. Frankie Howerd and Petula Clark make an interesting comparison with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock...

In the film when the airport official talks of the poor visibility I agreed with him. Of course he was talking about the fog but I was thinking more of the murky dvd poor quality.

Frankie Howerd climbs a tall road sign to be able to read it in the fog, only to find that the sign reads "Wet Paint". This gag was done by Laurel And Hardy in a silent two-reeler called "Habeas Corpus".
