The Raiders

At least one raider never made it back to the South. Thomas Bronston Collins from Madison County, Ky. refused to take the oath and made his way to Europe where he studied to be a doctor (perhaps became a doctor) and died in a few years, probably from TB. One or two books have recently been published about the raid but information about Thomas Bronston is lacking. For one thing, his name is spelled wrong.
