What a great debut movie for a lovely woman. The first scenes are costumed without a bra. A daring achievement for Hollywood in 1954.

Man, Kim Novak is 'hot' in this.

I couldn't believe they were able to get this past the censors. At first, it was hard to know 100% that she didn't have a bra on. Then, in the scene where FM and her are kissing, and you see the split down her back, it's one of those "Ah, ha!" moments.

My guess would be that the only way they got it through was that after you see the split-back sweater, they don't show very many more frontal shots of her in the sweater.

You thought "it was hard to know 100% that she didn't have a bra on"? Really? Did you miss how those puppies were hanging and moving? Do you not know what a woman looks like?

She actually had small parts in a few previous films - but her first starring role.
