Where was this?

Was this locked up in some studio's vault? I'm 46 years old and I'm seeing it for the very first time! Anyone know where this was all these years?

I copied this on my VCR many years ago and have not seen it broadcast again. So I feel fortunate to have had the foresight to have copied it. A fine film that I never heard of. This film deserved more attention then it ever got.

Shown recently on THIS TV. Still watching it from my taping but obviously very good special effects with the planes. The very first scene in the air you're looking down at two planes from the engine of his. Looked very realistic, I had to double take it.

They're showing it again on THIS-TV right now. Saw it as a kid. The scene with Peck crossing the runway while the plane is landing stayed with me for a LONG time.

It's on a full frame (Pan & Scsn maybe?) DVD. I rented it from Netflix just a few days ago.....

On today on this channel for Memorial Day I guess. Just started so we shall see......

Not pan-and-scan. Films back in the 40's and 50's were projected in 'academy' format, with a 4:3 aspect ratio. What you are seeing is the originally screened cinema format.
