1. How did Farnham recognize "the voice?" He didn't know about the dead guy's partner until Bruner told him about the call.

2. How did the Captain know Farnham wasn't making off with the loot? Someone on the force did shoot him in the back as he was running away, indicating they didn't know he wanted to return it.

Maybe, as today, the image of the force was more important than apprehending a bad cop. Making Farnham look the hero took care of that. As Bruner said, maybe he'd even get promoted.

3. How would anyone on the force know that $100k was missing? They wouldn't know how many people were involved in the original theft, and they already caught at least one guy passing the bad bills. Wasn't it ten years since the crime?

4. Kinda sloppy of the dead guy, driving around with a box containing all the loot. Car locks weren't as good as they are today, and no car alarms. Quite a risk, especially over ten years!
