good idea - poorly executed

Did anyone else feel that this movie needed a little more depth and some more character development?

I liked the idea and having a strong female lead was pretty cool too, but the movie didn't seem to be very long and I felt they should have taken more time with it.

Yeah, definately more character development, find out what the deal with "the shaman" is.

Also they should have made up their minds weather they were pagan or islamic.

This movie was made on a shoestring budget, even though it featured big named stars like Michael Rennie, Jeffrey Hunter, and Debra Page. The music is by Lionel Newman, using portions of his score from The Mark of Zorro.

This enjoyable movie hasn't been seen by anyone since it was shown on the USA network back in the mid-1980s. I'll certainly be glad when they finally release it on Blu-ray.

Yeah it's a quick sit and definitely a B-movie. But yeah, it's somewhat ahead of its time with a capable female protagonist. And lord, Debra Paget was hot.

I like it the way it is - campy, ridiculous, low-budget piffle!

If they'd taken it more seriously, it wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable.
