Odd statement by him. Which Scorsese picture draws from it?

I think it's just overall. If you know anything about Scorsese, he loves OTW and Kazan. It's not necessarily one particular film of his. But most of his films have certain qualities similar to OTW. The mob aspect, religious aspects/priests/the church. A character torn between what he wants to do and what he needs to do. New York, the tough life for a young man on the streets influenced by corruption and violence. The beautiful girl. The old-style Catholic traditions vs the new violent world. The hard working vs the corrupt.
