I saw this over thirty years ago but have never forgotten how wonderful it was. I'm kind of surprised not more people have commented on it.
I think the Criterion release will be the first time it is released on the home video market in America. Not too sure though. It has a wonderful release in the UK in the Masters of Cinema range but that's the only other edition I believe.
shareOnce again we can be thankful for Criterion. I just finished watching their new edition and I can now throw away my Chinese edition with English subtitles that are so terrible I couldn't understand many of the scenes in the film.

Another good reason not to support crummy bootleggers and their illegal imports with your money. WAITING to see a film this excellent is worth it.
