Better than the first one!

I saw the first film ("Miranda" 1948) last night, and didn't care much for it. But, I saw this one tonight, and I must say that I quite enjoyed it---a whole lot! It's in Technicolor, and the scenery is very quint, not as fake and uppity snobby looking as in the first film. There are also many, many more shots of the mermaid lagoon in this film, which is breath-taking, for lack of a better phrase!

So, if you saw the first film, but were left wanting more, see this one; it's better!

"Moment by Moment" (1978), may be the most underrated movie ever! May be my fav! <3

Movie girl: Saw the second one on TV in the 60's as a kid. So much better! Not
just the color. Great film. Did you get a copy yet? WE copied onto DVD, Glad to give it to you. I love Glynis's films and have since I was 7 or 8!

Hi there! As a matter of fact, just so happens I was thinking about that movie lately, wishing I had it! I'll message you 😃

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!

Movie girl: It is ok~ I do the same typing away. Just saw your other message and have responded. Hope you will like it. I want to live in the mermaid lagoon too!

My sister visited a friend in London and I thought of the setting in Cornwall with the mermaids. If you have not seen the film lately, will not spoil it. I just wanted to say that this film is an absolute treasure. Of course I wished I could look like Glynis too. THrough watching this film I discovered a really good actress in the cast; Anne Crawford. I looked up her films and now have several.

Talk soon!

I preferred it too. The problem with making a Miranda is that it was made in 1948. You don't really see a mermaid; just a woman wrapped up in lots of clothes and blankets so as not to upset the censors of the day. But Mad About Men made six years later seems to have relaxed its prudery and we actually get TWO mermaids in their glorious Dunlop!
