My First Martin + Lewis Experience

Growing up in the 1960's, I saw a lot of Jerry Lewis movies and I saw a lot of Dean Martin movies, and it was years before I learned that there once a movie team. This was the first Martin & Lewis film I ever saw where Lewis plays a small town schnook who thinks he's dying and is treated to a final fling in Manhattan by a newspaper. I later learned that this was a remake of a 1930's comedy called NOTHING SACRED where Carole Lombard played the Lewis role. I still have not seen NOTHING SACRED, but I love this film and it is part of my permanent collection. Janet Leigh is lovely as the newspaper reporter who brings Lewis to New York and Fred Clark is a riot as her boss whose character name is actually Oliver Stone. A very funny comedy for those who never knew how special Martin and Lewis were as a team.

It's my favorite of the Martin/Lewis movies. Alway brings a smile...now where the heck is the DVD, Paramount?

It's spelled "Definitely."
