Is the DVD edited?

I saw Jail Bait on a VHS tape around 2003. Believe it or not, my local library had it! LOL My library then got in the Ed Wood DVD boxed set about 5 years ago. I saw Jail Bait on the DVD but I thought there was a scene missing from the DVD.


If I remember the VHS correctly, there was a scene of a belly dancer gyrating around that really had no bearing on the plot whatsoever. So, removing it wouldn't affect the flow of the narrative. It was most likely added for titillation. But, when I saw the DVD, I don't recall that scene being on it.


I checked the alternate versions entry on IMDB. Apparently, the VHS contains this dance scene to replace a scene of blackface. If I remember correctly, the DVD did contain this blackface scene and thus is the film as it was originally released.


Can anyone tell me if I remember the DVD correctly having this blackface scene and the VHS having the belly dancing scene?
