I saw a West End production of An Inspector Calls with Tom Baker, from Doctor Who in London.I was in the front row and I could have almost touched him.
I was indeed star struck.

I could totally imagine him in the same sort of performance as Sim.

I think that Tom Baker could take most of the eccentric roles that Alastair Sim played. All accept Millicent Fritton in 'The Belles of St Trinians.' I don't think that Tom could be that gentle voiced the way that Sim played her.
