One of my mother's favourite films

Everytime it came on television she would watch it if she had an chance and record it no matter how many times she seen it.

I know how your mother feels, it's my absolute all time favourite film too. I posted a thread on the Classics Board about it recently but I didnt realise this dedicated board existed, I'm still learning my way around the labyrinth of IMDb!

YOur mother and I think alike. I wish everyone would watch it. I think many would enjoy it as much as we do.

They were saying on TCM that it was John Mill's favorite role. He is just great and it is such a departure from his usual roles.

I always liked my sister-in-law, but I knew we'd always be friends when I talked her into watching this movie - she wasn't crazy about old movies in general, and period pieces bored her. But within a few seconds of the opening, she was caught, and by the end of the story, she was enchanted.

I have seen it several times. I am watching the DVD right now. What a delightful film
