Bernard Herrmann's Score

So far I've only heard Herrmann's soundtracks on all his Hitchcock films and of course the unsurpassed "Cape Fear", "Taxi Driver" (where Herrmann experimented with jazz elements) and a few other movies.
This was the first western I've watched with a Bernard Herrmann score.
Did anybody else enjoy the soundtrack?

I literally "embrace" this unsurpassed soundtrack !

One of the all time best film scores ever written. The only feature length western scored by Bernard Herrmann has all of his familiar trademarks, and really makes this film come alive and seem better than it is.

Couldn't agree more with Lonixcap. It seems to me that Bernard Herrman borrowed some of his beautiful lines to Strauss' Salome.
