Edith Piaf as Eugenie Buffet

Eugenie Buffet of pre WWI Paris was the originator of the 'Realistic' Chanson that Piaf was famed for. She dressed as a streetwalker in her act and that is what Piaf is portraying in the scene. The cheap feathered boa was a typical prostitute's 'finery'. Just one of the 167 things I love about this movie!
