The Elephants in 'Elephant Walk'

Production Note. 10 elephants from the Cole Brothers Circus were shipped from Chicago to Hollywood in their own private car attached to the Santa Fe's Grand Canyon Limited. They needed 25 first class passenger tickets in order to get the special car. All this because there were not enough pachyderms in Hollywood for scenes needed in the movie!

I hope they were all treated well

Amen, jolacora. I love animals & seeing them in films, but at the same time it brings a sadness to see them, because there's such a good chance, especially in the old days, that they were abused :(
