Question about the 3-D Blu-ray

So originally this movie was in 3-D. Do you need a 3-D TV to watch the Blu-ray or will it work on a standard HD TV? Is their a regular 2-D version of the movie included as well? Thanks.

Yes to both your questions. You WILL need a 3D TV to view this disc and it DOES have a 2D version as well. Trust me, you are not missing anything by watching the 2D version. The 3D is very disappointing by today's standards.

Yes you will need a 3D TV to view the 3D version of this film, and also you will need a Blu-Ray 3D player. And the 3D in this movie is anything far from disappointing, even tho it cost about $34 to get it's truly worth every penny. This is one of the best 3D movies I've ever seen it's number 1 on my top 5 list of best 3D movies I've ever seen, number 2 is My Bloody Valentine, number 3 Hugo, number 4 Resident Evil: Afterlife & number 5 Prometheus. Hitchcock actually filmed Dial M For Murder in 3D and even tho it's still good in 2D, I'd recommend seeing this movie in 3D over it's 2D Counterpart its so much better. I really can't say enough about the 3D version of this movie.

And If you do get a 3D TV get a passive 3D TV, they're the best much better than Active 3D TVs don't require any battery's for the glasses. The technology used in them is the same as the ones in theaters and use the same glasses also, you can actually use the glasses you get from the theaters on the Passive 3D TVs also.

The 3D is not disappointing at all by today's standards. Looks fabulous for a 60 years old film and even by today's standards it's sharp and with plenty of depth.
