A lot to expect

Rather a lot to expect, isn't it? His thought process about why his key did not fit. he would have to think all that through that the key went to the dead man's door and he accidentally removed the dead man's key and put it into his wife's purse.

Another thing. I forget the character's name that Ray Miland played but what could he be charged with? Not murder because he did not kill the guy. It was self defense. The person he hired to kill his wife did not kill his wife so he can't be charged as doing murder for hire.
