Bank closing at Noon.

Why is a bank closing at Noon? Did I miss something? I see Christmas decorations up on Brand Blvd. Is it Christmas eve? I never heard of banks closing for lunch.

reply

Yes you missed something.

It was a Saturday robbery...

reply

Yes, and just to elaborate for those who may be younger....but back in the 1950s banks closed at noon on Saturday...just like many do now in 2013.

reply

Banks aren't open for a full day on Saturday.

Does that deeply offend you? Is there so much otherwise scintillating conversation going on here on the Crime Wave board that a redundant post is that big of a nuisance to you? Is there a finite number of posts that can be made here before the board explodes or something? Are you in charge of patrolling the IMDb forums and chastising posters who commit the grave sin of not verifying that every post in every thread on every forum contains new information posted within an acceptable timeframe of the thread's origin date? Sorry if my unnecessary post ruined your day.

As already mentioned, it was Sat. so it closed early. My bank here in Japan closes from 12:00-12:30 for lunch (most banks don't but mine does). Sometimes when I show up right before lunch, it always reminds me of this movie and I take a look around to see if there are any characters with fedoras on.
