Interesting. So Universal are essentially creating a set of remakes all bundled into this one project name. I loved the original three films and the ongoing story over that trilogy. It has a lot of potential and I hope they don't ruin this opportunity.

I don't mind them being films, But think it should of been a mini series or a TV show instead

I had actually typed that I thought an epic six-part mini-series might be good to make a modern story out of the trilogy. But I deleted it before posting. Glad you think so too!

Studio was trying to remake that movie ever since 1982. Back then John Landis was supposed to direct it.
Then, in the 90's John Carpenter was supposed to direct the remake. But somehow, it never happened. I think they can make a really good remake out of this. Looking forward to it.

P.S. I saw this as a kid and it scared me really good.
