Commentary

I just watched this film the other day on DVD (Creature collection), then watched it with commentary from film historian Tom Weaver. I'm not usually one for listening to commentary track, bout found this one really facinating. the way he tells stories of interviews and general trivian on the film were brilliant.

I hope other people take up 80 minuts of their time to listen to it as well.

I've pre-ordered the Blu-ray, definately going to listen to the commentary. :) Thanks for the heads up!

When I re-watch the film nowadays, it's usually with Weaver's excellent, viewer/listener-friendly commentary.

I liked the part of the commentary, where the narrator pointed out that you could see a telephone poll in among the trees as the scientists' boat sails into the Black Lagoon. Very funny, and that slight blooper does nothing to lessen the enjoyment of watching this classic 1950s sci-fi film.

I think that Tom Weaver gives the most fact-filled commentaries. He hardly draws breath in order to get all that information in.
