While watching it I couldn't stop thinking what depth Marilyn would have brought to the role of Willie.I think she would have been great in it, had she been offered this script, instead of the mediocre "There's no business like no show business" also released in 1954.

I totally disagree. I doubt Marilyn could have done a German accent at all, and her climbing that ladder would have been unbelievable. I enjoyed Ann Baxter, who was a very competent actress.
