If there was a remake of Carmen Jones who would you have in it? Here's my ideas:
Carmen Jones- Halle Berry (if she can sing/if they dub her) or Beyonce
Joe- Not sure maybe Will Smith (if they dub him) or Jamie Fox?
Frankie- Queen Latifah or Jennifer Hudson
Cindy Lou- an unknown
Husky Miller- Eddie Murphy or Jamie Fox

This was re-made as "Carmen Brown: A Hip Opera" starring Beyonce, Mekki Pheifer, Mos Def, and Joy Bryant; directed and produced by Robert Townsend.
This was quite different than "Carmen Jones;" but equally enjoyable.

This was quite different than "Carmen Jones;" but equally enjoyable.
I'd cast all lovely dark skinned theater unknowns, except Queen Latifah for Frankie because I think that is a fabulous idea.
