The first screen Addams Family?

The Gravesend family, in this, reminds me of the Addams Family a decade before the Addams' came to TV. There is a tall creepy manservant called Grissom who gets called Gruesome a few times. He is so much like Lurch.

Then there is a vamp called Francesca who is like Morticia. And Ellen Corby's grandma character is like Grandma Addams. As the cartoon Addams Family were popular in the 'New Yorker' in the early Fifties it is a safe bet that the Gravesend family are the first Addams Family to hit the screen.
