One of the most truly dreadful films of all times

It's puts the one with Tony Curtis ("Yon lies the castle of my father", delivered in a strong Brooklyn accent) completely to shame. In fact, The Black Shield of Falworth is a master in comparison.

The Black Knight in numbers:

Story line: 2/10
Dialogue: -1/10
Acting: -8/10
Geographical accuracy: -17/10
Historical accuracy: -237/10

Let's see if we can list at least 100 separate significant geographical and historical howlers. I will start the ball rolling:

1. Stonehenge seems to be located in Spain.

2. Camelot is within riding distance of Stonehenge.

The Long Walk stops every year, just once.

3. And within spitting distance of Cornwall.

4. What are Saracens (presumably of the non-Muslim variety) doing in 6th century Britain?

...and giving orders left right and centre, even to the king?

Plot summary says John is a young blacksmith. He looks like he will never see 40 again.

I remember watching both "The Black Shield of Falworth" and "The Black Knight" on TV when I was a kid and thinking they were great fun. No doubt they do have their flaws, but as pure entertainment I think they still hold up pretty well.

2. The Druids at Stonehenge could easily do a Superbowl half time show.
