I was creeped out by the scarf itself. Some fashion statement. He even wore it in his hospital sick bed.🐭

Yeah, that was icky. He had a mother fixation (creeping into her room, running his fingers through her hair, etc.), and was projecting it onto Carla as he was making out with her.
