annoying calliope music

Just saw this movie. It was pretty good. With 1 glaring exception - the ridiculous calliope carnival music tied in with Mature's character, "the Scarf". Ludicrous! And loud enough to interfere with any dialogue.

I love calliopes, but as the theme music for a single character of a serious movie?

It ranks right up there with Mammy's theme in GWTW. </sarc off>

It's a ripoff of the music in The Third Man.

Beauty is truth, truth beauty.

I actually enjoyed that offbeat soundtrack.

I too enjoyed the soundtrack and thought that it helped to distinguish the film. While the movie itself is not a great film, it is enjoyable with Lana looking great and Gable and Mature and a good cast helping to carry a mediocre directed effort.

Worst choice for music in any movie I have seen! Think about what comes to mind when you hear calliope music ... bet it had nothing to do with anything in this movie! What maroon made that choice?

Very annoying and inappropriate.

I kept expecting to see an organ grinder with a monkey that the resistance guys took along on their missions to keep them in a light mood.
