Low budget western woven around stock footage from other movies

Has anyone else noticed how the large scale action scenes all appear to come from other movies ? The close ups show the cast around wagons during an indian attack but the wider shots show the scene in a completely different landscape.

Arrow in the Dust was shot entirely in California, largely at the Iverson Ranch, yet the indian attacks are clearly from footage shot in the Sedona region of Arizona. [spoiler] Scenes where wagons are pushed over a cliff are so disjointed that they also seem grafted on from a different western.

No wonder Sterling Hayden looks bored. It's amazing audiences fell for this low budget trickery.
