I saw this film once where a chap was hitting up on a lass and he kept calling her "Old Girl." After several occasions she looked and said "that is not going to get you anywhere." I was struck by the absurdity ... that would never fly in the States.

I did too. It takes a look at the Battle of Britain, through the smaller window of the"Pimpernel" Squadron's airfield, rather than the broader canvas of London bombings and War Office machinations. I think it's quite a reasonable film.🐭
