Yes, I agree. I'm struck, really, by what an unusual film it is. There's bravery, but no great heroic deeds. Characters make mistakes, break the rules, but in small ways. It seems to be a film about everyday life on an airbase during a war more than a war film.

Certainly! This film never had sky high ambitions to give a detailed outline of the Battle of Britain, but rather sketch the effects of the war on a small rural squadron. I think it was pretty successful.🐭
