I couldn't believe my eyes at the end scene on this enjoyable arabian adventure style nonsense. The hero has bested all the bad guys and gets his reward by marrying the fair princess. The last scene shows them are lying in their bridal bed ready for a night of connubial bliss - he starts to kiss her - a look of ecstasy comes into her face. She swings her hand gently away from the bed and the camera pans with it as she slowly caresses a very phallic looking candle holder - up and down - round and about....slowly and lovingly! Sure doens't leave much to the imagination! Extraordinary what crept by the censors in some of these old adventure flicks.

Thats true entertainment.

Old movies are full of scenes like this. See Alfred Hitchcocks "To Catch a Thief" when Cary Grant is kissing Grace Kelly in the dark and in the background (through the window) you can see a firework.

If you pay attention, you will see the appearance of nipples on the lady doing the dancing. Why that wasn't censored back then is beyond me.

Wow, that was unexpected, first time I've noticed that. I imagine the censors were distracted by the plot (I had the sound down to watch without distraction from the dialogue). Or, maybe each of them watching said to themselves, "I won't say anything if HE doesn't say anything," and thus no one in the office saying anything. Or they were afraid of angering Jack Warner who would have had to pay for an expensive reshoot or scrap the scene.

You're reading too much into the last shot. She merely fumbles briefly with the candle and puts out the flame. Also, there is no "look of ecstasy" on her face at any point.

I agree. Nothing at the end of the movie happens as the original thread described.

It is the couple's honeymoon, so she does have a few sexy poses, cheesecake style. She reaches over to put the flame of the bedside oil lamp out to end the movie.
