I would LOVE to...the compete seasons 1954-1958 on DVD would be perfect!! I love the "Jeff" episodes, far more than the "Timmy" ones...I know they just came out with the 50th anniversary DVD, and plus I'd been recording the episodes of "Jeff's Collie" while I still had cable, and I have lots and lots of the episodes (at least a hundred) on VHS tape. But to have them on DVD would be so perfect!

I wonder if it's in the works...?

I guess that there isn't a big call for them as I've only had one posting of someone else who would love to see this on dvd.

You know though, if you check out amazon.com there is a DVD of the "Best of" the Jeff Episodes...I'm pretty sure this is in addition to the 50th Anniversary Lassie DVD set, except this has only Jeff episodes.
I'm planning on ordering it when I get the chance...!

jenn, yes I too would love to see jeff@s collie (Lassie 1954) on DVD. I was just 12 when this series(Tommy Rettig) was screened on british tv. I would also love to know if anyone knows if there are any available recordings of the theme music originally composed by William Lava (Secret of the silent hills) ? Not the Les baxter version. Can anyone help me with this one. I've been trying for years to locate a copy.(I REFER TO THE TOMMY RETTIG SERIES)Please.....come on, there must be someone out there who can help.John. contact me at [email protected]

I'm still keeping an eye out for them. You could record the music from the DVD, if you have a Jeff's collie episode on DVD.

Here is a second vote for putting Jeff's Collie episodes on DVD. I wish that I would have taped them back when Nickelodeon was showing them daily, roughly 12 or 13 years ago now. Tommy Rettig was a little before (but not much!) my time but I grew up in a similar rural setting and thoroughly enjoyed watching these episodes!

And here is another vote for putting all of the "Jeff's Collie" episodes on DVD. I also taped a number from the Nickelodeon run.

I have also Ace Collins' LASSIE: A DOG'S LIFE; THE FIRST FIFTY YEARS. It's great and really gives the history from the original LASSIE COME HOME to the 1989 TV revival.

And here is one more vote for all 115 episodes with Jeff and Lassie. They were much better than the Timmy episodes.

count me in! I would LOVE to have all the Tommy Rettig episodes on DVD. I am watching a first season episode right now - Blind Soldier. I love all the Rettig episodes. I sure wish they would come out season by season.

We've just added the complete series to our site, but you can buy individual seasons as well. Hope that helps! :)
