Adam Williams and the Camera

One thing that surprises me is how often Adam Williams as the young hood Marty Kusalich takes a glance directly into the camera lens. It's a mistake they should have caught, but I expect there was no recourse but to use the available takes, assuming they didn't catch it in time and it was impossible to do it again. He does it in more than one scene! It was probably just nerves or a typical rookie film actor mistake.
