I am confused by the biography of Ikio Sawamura offered here in IMDB.
According to the database, he was born in 1905. He is credited with playing the child Genichi in Ugetsu. That would make him a 45 year old child. Somehow I think that can't be correct. Does anyone know what the real story is?

AFAIK, Ugetsu is the only film he appeared.
Ikio Sawamura is a differet person, born in 1905.
AFAIK, he is not in Ugetsu.
Ikio was one of many actors Toho hired for minor roles back then.
As such, he appeared in so many Toho films from 50s to 70s.
A kind of actor people instantly recognize when they see him but nobody knows his name.
(To me, his most memorable performance is the "trolley man" in Kurosawa's "High and Low".)
