Set Your DVR - 'Twonky' screens again....

For the many faithful here,
there is another screening of "Twonky" coming to TCM.

Set your DVR, or VCR, for:

TCM - October 24, 2009 @ 9:30am

It last played on TCM on April 15, 2009, making for a 6-month turnaround.
That may be best evidence of audience appreciation, and possibly, of a DVD in our future.

I saw it back in April. I looked forward to it for months because I knew it had never been released to video and I'd seen associate producer Sidney Pink's Journey to the Seventh Planet. I read an article on Pink that apparently gave him more credit for The Twonky than what he was owed. Having seen the film, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. In any event, I find it hilariously to see a film about the evils of television at a time when Hollywood was threatened by the prospect of being entertained from one's own home.

"Damn the TV! Go to the theater instead!"
