This Movie seemed like ...

it had all the makings to have been a Twilight Zone episode or TV Movie IMPO . It's too bad this story wasn't used for a TZ TV Movie Pilot ( like Night Gallery had just before the start of it's series ? ) . Did anyone else think it had that same TZ feel to it as well ?

i don't recall any comedic Twilight Zone episodes. in fact i don't recall any sci-fi comedy movies at all. this being the exception. if the effects were not treated as humor perhaps it would qualify as a TZ screenplay.

There were several TZ episodes that were humorous. Can't remember the names, but the one with the guy who wanted to be alone, then wanted everyone everyone to be like him, and finally he decides to leave the world the way it was. Then there's the one with Carol Burnett, and the silent one with the time traveling hat. And the one with the fellow who has the guardian angel, but he opts for his life to remain the same.. Even the most unusual camera was funny.

You're so right VelvetVoice ( and the episodes you mention here * ) -- * " The Mind and the Matter " , * " Cavender is Coming " ( Carol Burnett was excellent in this one too btw only wished she had done more TZ episodes ) , * " Once Upon A Time " ( with silent film star Buster Keaton ) , and * " Mr. Bevis " were really funny ones . Also I agree * " A Most Unusual Camera " was very funny too ( " Palpitations " became the fan catch phrase for that episode as well lol ) . Another few mildly funny ones was " A Kind of Stopwatch " ( with my personal favorite catch phrase " Kitchy Kitchy Cooper " lol ) , " A Penny for your Thoughts " , " A World of his Own " , " From Agnes With Love " , " Hocus-Pocus and Frisby " , " I Dream of Genie " , and " Mr. Dingle, the Strong " . So when I first saw this movie late last night on TCM ( Turner Classic Movies ) my first thought was " Twilight Zone " ( even down to this movie's catchy title lol ) . Thanks VelvetVoice for your reply .

That's quite alright pathfinder616 and you're most welcome for the recommendations too . The reason I know all of these episodes well is that I have the entire series on DVD . Specifically - " The Twilight Zone The Complete Definitive Collection " and an excellent collection which I highly recommend to anyone who really loves this show . It can be a bit pricey ( but also depends where you purchase it ) still it's worth every penny . Thanks again pathfinder616 for your reply .
