The Secret Twonky Society

i just happened to be home this morning and watched this again on TCM. thanks to Tivo i now have a copy. i couldn't wait to get online and see what IMDB folks have to say about The Twonky. its a great film, definitely worthy of cult status and a remastered DVD! i feel like i'm part of The Secret Twonky Society! thanks TCM! where would we be without you!

Please help out then by voting for it to be released on DVD:

Look for the voting button on the right side of the web page.

Although it's true you can find a DVD from certain companies on the internet, a release through some associate of TCM would no doubt be of somewhat better quality.

Great! Let's start a fan club for this movie, "The Secret Twonky Society"! We can also make "Happy Fingers" beanies and be the "Dr. Terwilliker Fan Society" also!
We can have buttons and badges and T-shirts that say "What's A Twonky?" Ask the Secret Twonky Society! We can build a replica of the Twonky and take it to sci-fi conventions and Comic Con!
Hooray for Hans Conreid! I love "Fractured Flickers"!

Got a following yet? I wrote another thing on this site awhile back, but no one seems to know what I'm talking about. Its under the heading of "Jackson Wheeler".

Let it be unsaid: insignificance is the locus of true increpation.

Shh! It's a secret society, you get the Twonky T-shirt, the handshake, and the 8x10 glossy photo of Hans Conreid. So far it's only an idea, but my friend Paul Etcheverry says he will sign on as a member!

Here's to more "Fractured Flickers"!

Watching it as I type! I can't believe I've never heard of it before, let alone seen it. I really only put it on because I adore Hans Conried. It's brilliant and delightful! Curses for not having Tivo! A remastered DVD would be wonderful! Although I did get a kick out of the scratches and hissing at the beginning of the film....

And I'm telling you them pussy cats is quick! Official Bleeder

Count me in! This was hilarious. Didn't Hans Conreid narrate a cartoon character?

Hans Conreid was the voice of Snidely Whiplash on The Rocky and Bullwinkle show and voice of Peter Pan's Capt. Hook and Mr. Darling.

reply

Several actually (http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Hans-Conried/)but I'm sure you're thinking of Snidley Whiplash in the Rocky & Bullwinckle cartoon show. What a great company Jay Ward put together for those!!
